I have a old Legend around 10 years old. The legend is in a car dealer ship, and the customer wants to be able to call the parts counter and ring 5 phones at the same time. Is it possible for this to work?

use bridge appearance of an station on all 5 stations, give at least 5 sa keys of the bridge station, do not use group

I believe what cvrbob is saying is - direct the calls to one extention in parts. Put a few extra SA-Ring buttons on that phone, then put an immediate ring cover button for that phone extention - on the other 4 extentions. That way when a call gets routed to the first phone - the other 4 phones will start to ring at the same time. The extra SA Ring buttons will allow the first phone to handle more simultaneous calls.

use bridge app.on all the phones
stations 101 has 5 sa buttons
station 102 to 104 has the same Sa keys as sta 101 program as
central programing0
station 101 already has SA 1& 2
3 SA R
4 SA R
5 SA R
Station'102 to 104
SA 1 shared access 101 button 01
SA 2 shared access 101 button 02
SA 3 shared access 101 button 03
SA 4 shared access 101 button 04
SA 5 Shared access 101 button 05
SA 6 102 R
program all the same way, call 101 all phones ring to first available SA, put call on hold you then can pick up from any station 101 to 104 can all pick any station 101 call on a early legend you are able to have 8 shared access , from R6 on you can have 28 avaliable

should have told you to first to add your SA 6 to stations 102 to 104 first , then delete what ever is on button 1 though 5, so that you can bridge your ( shared stations ) for 101

you need to apply your station dial plan for your system to your parts depart. for whatever you have

It's called SHARED SYSTEM ACCESS (SSA), a parts dept. is an ideal use for this feature. It gives multiline/station access like the old 1A2 KTS. This way you can pickup and HOLD from any phone that has the appearances (You can see the lites <LEDs>) and know the status and amount of calls.

One of my clients is a car dealership, the parts originally had only a cover button for the "parts line" appearing on the sets. The parts manager hated this setup. When they remodeled, they added more phones and hence exceeded "cover" capacity. I explained how the SSA would work and he said change to the SSA post haste. Changed all the parts phones to MLX16DPs. He was told when the Legend was installed (by Avaya) that it would not do the multiline arrangement... Consequently, he is happy now!
