Current Config:

Lines
4x Analog (Incoming Group: 0; Outgoing Group: 2)
23x PRI Channels (Incoming Group: 0; Outgoing Group: 0)
1x PRI Channel (Incoming Group: 1; Outgoing Group: 1)

ARS
Main: ALL -> Line Group ID 0

----

If my understanding is correct: I need to add another line (specifically a "SIP line"). Each of the 16 channels that we will be using must have an incoming and outgoing group specified (probably 0 and 3, respectively). I will need to create a new item in ARS ("Backup") set a simple short code of "XN" pointed at Line Group ID 3. On "Main", I will set the "Out of Service" route to point to "Backup". I should then be done. Take "Main" out of service and calls will flow over to "Backup". Right?

Sort of, if you run 6.1 or older the backup ARS must have a shortcode like SC = ?, TN = ."@provider url or provider ip address", Linegroup ID = the outgoing ID of the SIP line, Function = Dial
If you are version 7 then the "@provider url or provider ip address" in the TN is not necessery.

If it ain't dutch it ain't much
