Hello I currently have email and web service on same server I want to see if any one knows of a good how to or some steps in setting up web server and email server by itself I can do the initial setup and everything but I'm just curious once I have both system installed what are the configurations needed so when a request for email to the web server gets redirected to the mail server which of course both will have their own unique IP address. Sorry for the confusion I just want to have both services in different boxes, Thank you in advance.

Change your DNS settings to point to the IP of whichever server is applicable. (Router/Firewall/Port forwading will probably need to be adjusted as well)

Your router should do what you need from outside. DNS settings should help internally.
