setup did not find any Hard Drives

Hi gurus

Its me again, I need your help again.

I turned on my machine today and it was going all well until the BSOD showed up telling me that UNMOUNTED BOOT VOLUMEN error stop 0x000000ED.

Everywhere I go they advice for a repair and once logged use chkdsk\r to fix the problem, the deal is that when I hit R for repair the following comes up

"SETUP DID NOT FIND ANY HARD DRIVES INSTALLED ON YOUR COMPUTER"

Then I am force to hit F3 to stop the process.

Can any one help me please, I need this computer up an running

what type of drive is it? (IDE or SATA)...

First things first, REPLACE the HDD cable, as it could just be that the cable used has gone bad...

go into the BIOS and hit F5 (Load Default Settings), exit and save...
