setup an annoucemnt w/out giving the person admin rights

I have a staff member who wants an annoucement created that he can change once a week, but I don't want them to have admin access. The only way I know to create annoucements is through system administrator. Can I give this person access to the annoucement without access to everything else?

If you have a MLM007 or a merlin mail R3 (and probably the merlin messaging too) you can create a Bulletin Board Mailbox, with class of service 19 that allows users to Hear a message up to 4 minutes long and change a selector code to point to it.

from the Merlin Mail R3 manual page 5-24
"The System Administrator can create Bulletin Boards, which allow subscribers to record messages that can be accessed by callers. These messages can be modified easily, without entering system administration"

You just give the right users the PW and they change it like a greeting

Unfortunately, we have release 2.5. Any way to do it in this version?

Use a mailbox, set it up as "without a phone", in the mailbox change the "call answer mode" to answer only. Set the Personal Operator to go to an extension, the operator, or a phantom extension that covers to voice mail whose mailbox is defined as one of the auto attendants so the caller can press 0 to return to the auto attendant.
