We currently have one W2K DC and are setting up an additional W2K DC which will serve as a backup until we take out the first one. I'm having serveral issues with the main DC and may be disposing of it later. Here is what I've done so far:

Run dcpromo
AD has replicated itself
Added DNS- Forward lookup zones are configured, reverse lookup zones are not
DHCP not authenticated

A couple questions:
1. Is it OK to finish setting up new DC during working hours? Will it cause any issues with users (i.e. DNS/DHCP issues)?

2. How do I configure reverse lookup zones? There is a wizard, but I'm not sure what options to choose.

3. Can I authenticate new server for DHCP and assign separate scope for testing purposes? (by using exclusions).

I have done some research and have documents on transferring FSMO roles.
Thank you.
