setup 4100MFP to send out email through Exchange 2000

I have a 4100MFP that I need to configure to send out email.. I was able to connect it to LDAP to get the addresses from GAL but I cannot set it up to send out email through my Exchange 2000 server. I do not have External SMTP server to use. How do I setup so that the MFP will use my Exchange 2000 server to send out email to the internet?

Use the EWS.
Enter the ip address of your exchange server in the smtp settings of 4100mfp
Make sure your mailserver accepts email from 4100mfp
Check mail server logs for details.
Actually, I use postfix rather than exchange, but its quite easy to get going.
