Okay, so I got something in the mail the other day stating that someone was settling with Microsoft in a class action suit because MS charges too much for their products. In return, if I signed up, I could vouchers for MS products in th amount of about $5 a product.

So a friend and I thought about it...

MS is not really paying out money, they're handing out coupons. And what do these coupons do? Ensure that the people who use them spend more money on MS products.

I think I'm beginning to like this Bill Gates...he's one smart cookie... :) LOL

I guess if you were going to buy something anyways, then it would be like getting $5.

Sounds like a scam to me. Is this "someone" going to charge you a sign-up fee for access to these supposed vouchers? Have you seen anything in the press about this alleged class action? I rather think it would have made the news, don't you?

AFAIK, it's not against the law to "charge too much for your products". The penalty you pay for that is in the market, not in the courts. There are plenty of cheaper products out there if you don't think M$ ones are worth the money.

I got something about 6 months ago. I thought it had said I could get free products. I believe I bought MS Software in AZ. Never did anything about it, however.
