Settle Empty Batch 1

I'm getting alerts from Heartland and my internal system that a batch hasn't been settled in over a month.
This is for a site that is only open occasionally and they can go months without cc activity. Is it possible to settle an empty batch to clear up these alerts?
My other alternative is to do a charge and refund to generate activity but I'd rather not go that route

Just run a card for enter a card number into edc for 1.00 refund it and settle the batch. It won't hurt anything. I do it all the time when I set systems up to test and make sure EDC works.
 
The reason I was hoping to avoid that was so I could make the solution automatic. I don't want to have to log into the site every couple of weeks to clear out alerts if I don't have to.
 
claytaco, under maintenance, store settings, credit cards, remove check box about warning for batch not settled in last XX hours. thisis for old Aloha manager. you will then not have to worry about the error on FOH. As for Heartland, let your sales rep know it is an occasion account and not daily account.
