On a friends computer someone accidently changed the pixels on the desktop to a high setting something like 1700 x 800, the screen flashed to change the settings and now the screen is black. It isn't monitor I don't think because when it loads up it show the Windows 98 logo. It's when the desktop loads up it turns black. I can hear the background noise of Windows so it is loading up. Pleeeeaaaassse help. [sig][/sig]

Can you boot up in safe mode? - I'm not a w9x pro, but I think safe mode loads vga drivers. Just boot up, and change your display settings. All better!
Good luck!

It should have reset atomaticly after 15 seconds.
When windows starts or just before press either the F5 key or F8 key to enter a windows boot thingy. Select Safe Mode. When it starts change the display settings to a lower setting.

Thats a kinda strange problem. [sig][/sig]
