Setting User Defined Data Type

Hello,
I'm attempting to set the value in a User Defined data type, which was created in SQL server, in a After_Update event module in a form which is in .adp file. Do I have to qualify the name of the UDT or dim a connection to the SQL server?

Thank you, I'm brand new to .adp files
