setting up wep on wrt54g and wpc54g

hi

could someone explain how to setup wep on this network?

i see i can generate a key at the access point...do i write this down and put it into the pc card settings? the default for the card is the web will be issued to it. Will this work? or do i need to enter one of the 4 numbers that is generated when i get the key.

any help would be appreciated.

With default transmit key set to 1, yes you have to take note of the wireless key 1 of the router, and you have to enter that on the wep properties of the card. Make sure that you set the same type of encryption on the router and the card.
