hi,
i am trying to set up vsftpd and set users to log in to /var/ directory. i have set up the vsftpd and when i set the ownership of the directory "html" to be the same group as that of "ftp users" then i can upload the files and do other operations---but when i change the ownership to be "apache" the webserver group then i cannot do the upload and other openations??? i have been playing with this for past several days but cant get it to work?
i am using "fedora core 3", with vsftp - version 2.0.1
any clue? or documentation regarding this.
one of the first search in google helps u set up the vsftpd but it doesnt help set up users whose default directory is other than the one created in /home directory.
thanks
