Hi everyone
Any ideas on this problem.
My server is connected to a Netgear wireless router, which handles all the ip addresses thru DHCP.
When setting up the Remote access, I direct the server to look at the router IP address for the DHCP addresses.
For the domain name I have tried entering both my address and the domain IP address.
Each time the remote access wizard runs and error appears "An error accurred while creating the Connection Manager config. Package file."
The "raslog" says reading my server name returned OK
but...returning IExpress to build package returned ERROR 80004005
ERROR: Cannot delete temp directory CMP1D.tmp

i type my domain address on a remote computer and it gos to the Server Welcome screen, but directs me to run the setup wizard if I wish to go further.

Any thoughts
Cheers
Phil

- nothing there yet so give me a few weeks to get something together. This ASP.NET looks like fun.

sounds like you are running SBS? would recommend using the DHCP server in windows as you get more easily avialble scope options

Your insight serves you well" yes its SBS, I've enabled the DHCP on the server and disabled the routers. I've tried using the router IP address, the server IP address and the Gateway address and still the same error.
Also when I disable the DHCP on the router, client computers then have trouble getting IP addresses.

If youve turned off dhcp on router, then on server, clients need to repair their IP. Just have them restart or do a /release then /renew.

Now, remotely, who is trying to connect? Is this a public facing server?
