Setting up Voice Mail in Alert Mode only

The nurses where I work have an ext 4021 and they want voice mail setup to alert callers that everybody is extremely busy now when they don't pick it up. They don't want callers to be able to leave messages.

you could send to voice mail as an announcement - build and record announcement then in the VSDN enter all the DN that will get this messge pointed to the same announcement ID

How do I build and record an announcement amd what is VSDN?

r u using meridian mail. if so look in admin book or let us know and I'm sure someone on this site will walk you through.

Yes it is Meridian Mail 13.13.1 A walkthrough would be most appreciated.

login to mail. choose option 3 than 4 than 1 than click add enter your acces dn than put AS in for type than for announcement id put in access dn plus a 0. save. Now you need to define the announcement. From login screen choose 3 than 4 than 3 than add arrow down to voice press record and record announcement. Quick and easy.
