Just got the 3Com Unified 24 1G PoE Port switch and 2 of the 7760 WAPs. I want to use this system so I have 2 SSID - one for employees and one for guests. I know that in order to do that I need to:

1. Create a second VLAN (in addition to the default)
2. Create the two SSIDs (Done - Employee and Guest)
3. Make sure a DHCP server is available for each VLAN
4. Assign each SSID to a VLAN.
5. Set the ports up on the switch correctly for each VLAN.

Well, step 5 is where I am having trouble. I have gone into the menu 'Policy->VLAN-Membership' and tried both tagging and untagging the ports I wanted to be in VLAN2, but they alway seem to act as though they are still on VLAN1.

I have a DHCP server for my employee network plugged into port 1 and several PCs. They work fine. On ports 21-24 I have what I want to be my Guest LAN so I have a DHCP server for that group, a PC in the conference room and a WAP for the guests. The problem is the PC on VLAN2 is still getting getting is IP from VLAN1 and connecting to VLAN1.

If I unplug the DHCP server on VLAN1, the DCHP server I have setup for VLAN2 give all the computers IP addresses and they can all connect so it is clear that VLAN2 just is not being create properly.

Does anyone have any experience with this switch?
