Hello All,
I went through the manuals which tend to leave a lot more questions than they answer. I also searched this forum but found other setup issues but not about setting up the user. I have an IP Office system along with an Application Server running both the voicemail and the One-X services on a Linux OS. The voicemail seems to be running fine.
I have installed the App on the iPad and set the server and domain to the IP Office WAN IP address. The iPad is on the same network as the WAN interface. I have been able to ping the WAN IP fine. I have verified that SIP Trunks and the SIP Registrar are enabled on the WAN interface.
For the user I have one setup on extension 213 which is a 9621G and setup as a Power User with Flare enabled as Simultaneous. According to the manual it says: "Note: If the user is already configured to use a deskphone, the user cannot use the deskphone login code for Flare Communicator. Configure the extension that the user must enter to log into Flare Communicator." I have no idea what they want me to do here. If somebody can decifer this for me it would help. I hope it is not asking me to create another user which does not make sense since it would take up another Power User License and how will it work in Simultaneous mode?
Then it tells me that it will prompt me for a new VoIP extension which it does not. It does say for the Simultaneous mode select SIP Extension. I can create a SIP Extension under extensions if needed but then it says "In the navigation pane, select Extension and choose the user from the list." There is no Extension setting here, there is a Extension ID and a Base Extension but nothing with a list to select from. Therefore they have left a lot of steps blank in my opinion.
Any help would be appreciated. The iPad gets to the point of asking for an extension and password but will not log me in under ext 213.
