Hi all

Hope you can help, i recently bought the above product, and have followed the instructions to the best o f my ability, but when i get to the stage of connecting to the IP address, my laptop will dial but never connects, when i look at the router i can see that something is happening as the lights start flashing, but no-ones at home if you know what i mean.

Please help if anyone else has had a similar problem and resolved it before i send it back to dabs.

Many thanks in advance.

John

John,

Did you ever find a solution to your problem?

I've also been having problems with this product (like you, I bought it from Dabs). It would be interesting to compare notes. In my case, the problems are more to do with the wireless connections (I think).

Mike

hi mike i didnt, however one of the web builders a work did, the mistake i was making was that i had the phone line from the router connected, if you disconnect it, and set teh internet options to 'never dial a connection' and you then should try to open the web page, it works for some reason.

i then about 4 days later lost my connection so just went online through a wired connection and downloaded the latest firmware, that was a few days ago and so far so good.

hope this helps

John,

Glad it's working for you. I also discovered the need to set "Never dial a connection".

My present problem is quite different. The wireless part of the router has suddently stopped working for no apparent reason. Neither of my client PCs can see the wireless, although everything is still working fine with an ethernet connection.

Unlike you, I have no-one I can turn to for help, and have no idea how to diagnose it. I wonder if downloading the latest firmware would help me as well.

Mike
