I am in need of some assistance on how to set up SMTP on a RH 6.2 SBE Dell PowerEdge server. I have not ever set this up and was wondering if there were some helpful tips or set by step instructions. And do I need to download other software to better assist me in this project. Thanks for any tips or help you can provide.

I take it for granted that you've already been to and it didn't help ya much. If you are new to setting up servers or your system, try WebMin from . It's a GUI that makes it a lot easier to admin your servers. Most distros of linux come with sendmail as the MTA. If you just want to be able to send mail out, you should be able to be setup in no time. If you want a full blown mail server, you may want a POP3 server such as qpopper. You can download it for free from tucows. tek-tips also has a "sendmail forum" which may be a little more helpful for ya. Good luck.
