setting up small telephony system upto 50 lines 1

i want to setup a small telephony system through computer, i will install ubuntu or linux and asterisk
however i dont know which hardware i need to use which will out lines/numbers
during google i found some PCI cards but max provide 24 telephony jacks and i need more are 50 to 60
secondly these cards are much expensive for educational or experiment purpose so i need help which card or something i use to add telephony jacks

All of them end up saying "Use PCI card" (24 jacks Max) and is too much expensive

if i use DAHDI 4 Chanel card it means i will be able to configure 4 telephone lines right ?

If you use all IP stations and trunks, you won't need any line cards. There is no free lunch...

i agree use sip handsets and sip trunks , no cards required
The cards are only for interfacing to tdm lines
