Setting up sharepoint services

HI,
I'm new at sharepoint services and don't know much about it. Need to install sharepoint services on a Windows 2003 server Standard Edition. All the hardware parts are covered but can't find any good instructions for installing and setting up a sharepoint service site. any help would be appreciated.

I would suggest that you download the Windows SharePoint Services Administrators guide, it will give you all the information you need.
