setting up server 2003 help

I hope i am in the right forum...

For my dns server i have my main domain name set for the first Forward Lookup in the forward lookup zones.

I am trying to set up name servers an for the most part i believe that all is well.

My question is for the name servers should these be CNames or should they be new domains under the main domain?

If a CName is an alias for a host name... what is a subdomain? Referred to as a new domain when i right click on the main doamin in the new zone i created..
