Hi, we are trying to set up a serial port on the NIU board that will pass call information via rs-232 connection to a VM system.

We have created analog extension, that are part of a hunt group. However, we cannot set up the ICU connection correctly.

Here is a log of commands attempted to set this up:

the only ICFUC(change IFC) command it accepted:

<ICFUC:MWF=ALL,IFCIND=1,DFMT=3,UPDFCN=YES,FILLER=48;

ICF printout command:

Hi 3000gt

I just described this in another thread:

You are trying to set-up a NIU board with ICU2 board commands.

I have written the correct commands for MD110 and VM for NIU.

In this example, commands are for MD110 BC11:

Initiate the wanted number of analogue extensions:
EXTEI:DIR=,EQU=,TYPE=EL6,TRAF=03141401,SERV=000010000,TRM=3,
CDIV=000151000,ROC=000001;
Change these extensions to global tones for the VMX-100:
EXCAC:DIR=,ICAT=0010;
Initiate the Voice Mail group:
GHGRI:GRP=,LIM=,SERV=1000,TRAF=15,SEL=11000,QUE=00;
GHGMI:GRP=,DIR=;
Initiate the NIU board:
CNHUI:BPOS=x-x-xx;
IOBPI:NODE=NIU,BPOS=;
Initiate an EQU for Voice Mail V24 on the NIU board:
IOEQI:EQU=X-X-XX-X,IODEV=VMGICI9,USAGE=OUT;
Change Baud rate, Parity, Word-length, stop bits with:
IOIFC:IODEV=VMGICI9,BAUDR=2400,WORDL=7,STPBIT=1,PARITY=EVEN;
Check with: IOIFP;
Initiate the data channel on the NIU board:
ICFUI:IFCIND=5,DFMT=5,UPDFCN=NO,FILLER=32,IODEV=VM-GICI9;
ICFUC:MWF=ALL;
Set the SID (System ID)
ICMWC:SID=5,KFCN=MWC,DIG=group number,DTXT=group number;
Check with:
ICFUP:IFCIND=5;
ICMWP:SID=5;
Initiate the Voice Mail function:
VMFUI:IFCIND=5,VMF=EXTN2,POFMT=2;
Initiate the voice mail function on each analogue extension:
VMPOI:DIR="first group member",PORT=11,IFCIND=5;
VMPOI:DIR="second group member",PORT=12,IFCIND=5;
VMPOI:DIR="third group member",PORT=13,IFCIND=5;
VMPOI:DIR="fourth group member",PORT=14,IFCIND=5;

VMPOI:GRP=group number,IFCIND=5;

The VMPOP result will then be:
<VMPOP;
VOICE MAIL PORT DATA
DIR PORT IFCIND
10001 11 5
10002 12 5
10003 13 5
10004 14 5
VOICE MAIL GROUP DATA
GRP IFCIND
4000 5
END

Allmost same expertice here:

BUT for this case my knowledge of MD110 and Voice mail systems is sufficient.

Best regards doktor

Hi again

If you need the correct commands for the ICU2 board, please write here again.

doktor

Thanks for the quick reply. Will try those commands and then test the serial port out. We are basically just trying to see the call information sent through the serial port of the NIU board on sw version BC11, by calling the hunt group pilot and watching it with Procomm.

We are learning the Ericsson PBX right now, we have worked with Ericsson on an in-skins wireless mobile business phone system project previously.

OK

Let me hear your comments on my command-list, when you have tried it out.
Thank you.

The doktor

We were able to program all the commands up to this one:

Initiate the Voice Mail function:
VMFUI:IFCIND=5,VMF=EXTN2,POFMT=2;

This is what the PBX responded:

VMFUI:IFCIND=5,VMF=EXTN2,POFMT=2;

Hi,
this is only a respons for:

NOT ACCEPTED
LICENSE SERVER IS TEMPORARILY BLOCKED

Read in the licens by LIDAI:pATH=....
and do a SFCEI

Mundus, thanks for the info. Also, do you know where the license file (path) would be located, or where the default locations are? Is it stored on the PBX hard drive or on the maintenance PC?

Hello,
Make
FIDAP:pATH= /SYSN/USR1/SES/LI,OPT=ALL;
File with extension .LIC is license file.
Than make
LIDAI:pATH= /SYSN/USR1/SES/LI/thisfile.LIC;
