We have recently registered a second domain which we are going to actively start using in the next couple of weeks. We already have an Exchange server for our existing domain and don't want to go to the cost of another one for the new domain. I reckon that we should be able to configure our existing IMS to send and receive mail for the second domain and then all that is needed is a second recipients container in our site to handle mailboxes for the second domian. Can anyone see any problems with this idea or have any suggestion as to an alternative way of doing things. All help is much appreciated :)

Shouldn't be any problems, but remember that you can only have one Site-wide smtp address configured in Site Addressing. So one domain or the other needs its users' smtp addresses either manually changed, or you can do an export/import for that container to change them.
