Hi,

i am trying to set up some rules for incoming mails on my lotus notes (Release 5.08) but I cannot find the [red]Rules Folder[/red] that the Notes Help describes.

I am using a company specific template for Notes which has changes some of the options, views and menus. Does anybody have any idea how I can create a rule or get to the Rules Folder?

Many Thanks,
Hayden

It sounds as if your company has decided to hide the rules folder from you. There is a trick how you could get there nevertheless if your company hasn't deleted the folder completely from the template. But: in addition you would have to have the right access level on your mail database to create rules (at least editor with all rights envoked or even designer - I'm not sure about that as our users all have designer access to their mailfiles).
---> Check the access level on your mail database.
---> Ask your admin-people why the company has decided to remove the rules folder.
---> The way to get there if they have just hidden the folder would be: Open your mail file Press Strg-Upper Case on your keyboard, then 'View --> Go to'. All views that are shown like this (Rules) are private and hidden from you.

Nevertheless: I wouldn't advise you to create rules if your company has disabled it - you might run into serious trouble!
