I am running exchange server 5.5 sp 3, and have been trying to setup an mailbox group to be able to have individuals "send as" the marketing groups through their own e-mails.
I have them setup through the permissions folders to have that option turned on but, barring making them an administrator it will not work... some help would be greatly appreciated. [sig][/sig]

There are different ways of solving this. If you only need the Send on behalf option, this is accomplished under the Delivery Options tab in the properties of the mailbox.

If you want the user to have full rights to send, and not send with the Send on behalf property, open Outlook and choose Tools/Options and then the tab called Delegates. Give the users the right called Editors.

I tried both of those ways and still the message was sent on the behalf of. The only way I could get around was to go to the permissions tab of the user that you want to send as and grant the send as right to the user who you want to be able to do this. Hope this helps.

If setting the property "Editor" under the delegates tab, the user must at the client side, choose the View menu and then choose From Field, and on each outgoing mail he has to choose from who the e-mail is being sent. The properties Send on behalf and Editor cannot be mixed!
