I am trying to setup NTP on my Mandrake 9.0 linux system. This system is behing the network firewall. I have setup the browsers and the mandrakeupdate to use the network proxy, but have not been able to setup NTP to use the proxy. When I ping from a term window to an address outside the network, I get no response. I can get to these addresses using my browser. I assume the reason ping can't see outside is the same reason NTP can't see outside either. All help will be greatly appreciated.
