Hi,
I am about to setup a completely new domain replacing the old server and domain with a new one handling everything for the company (DC, DHCP, DNS, file/print server, backup etc). The company is so small there is no need for separate servers for any of these roles. The disks have RAID1 which should be sufficient with backups to tape as well.
Now, my question and problem is, the company that I am doing this for is currently sharing their domain and server with a sister company, they are to be separated now when I install the new domain, but they are still on the same physical network. How can I separate the new domain from the old without causing problems for the sister company?
I mean, for instant I can’t have two DHCPs on the same physical network right?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
