My boss just got a new 800 number on one of our local lines. I need to take it out of the calling group (?) and put it into one of it's own so it rings directly to my boss's phone.
However, I'm lost (surprise) how do I take out that specific number?
There's some things I understand, but I just need a jump start and I can pretty much take it from there.
Thanks

If it is assignned to a calling group, you would do this:

Menu > Sys program > Exit/Start > Extensions > More > Group Calling > Lines & Trunks > ENTER GROUP NUMBER > and put in line number (801, 803 or what ever) and hit delete.

If it is assigned to a POOL, then you do:

Menu > Sys program > Exit/Start > Lines & Trunks > Pools > then turn off the LED associated with that line.

Then just go to Extensions > lines & trunks enter his extension and turn on that led.

I think that when you say you need to take it out of the calling group, you mean that the 800# is pointed to one line of your incoming _hunt_ group, and you need the telephone company to remove _that_ number from "hunt". Then you need to remove that trunk from whatever pool it is in and assign it to the boss' phone. If you want his personal voice mailbox to cover the line, also assign the boss' extension as principal user of the line.
