I am sorry if this is not the best place to post this, but i wasnt sure where would be the best topic..

Can someone PLEASE in SIMPLE ENGLISH tell me the steps I need to take to set up Name Servers (DNS).
Heres is my situation.. I have just gotten a dedicated server. I have been a Reseller for hosting and have gotten many accounts so have upgraded to Dedicated Server. I am trying to set up my Primary and Secondary Servers.
Can I use any domains I already have registered (mydomain.com) If yes What do I need to do?
OR do I need to actually register names as: NS1.domain.com & NS2.domain.com???
I already have my IP addresses for my server and to dedicate to DNS.
PLEASE Someone treat me like a 2 year old child just learning to walk. I keep getting non-understandable answers from my server lease company.. and am ready to pull my hair out!
THANK YOU

If you want the simplest answer with the most amount of helpful information, honestly I suggest going to your local book store and getting the O'Reilly book "DNS and BIND".

We could offer you much advice, but if problems come up, you would have the answers much quicker if the book is right in front of you. Plus, you would have it nearby down the road should other issues come up.

Bill.
