Hello,

I am currently having my site hosted by an ISP. I am running windows 2000 on my home computer and have my own IP addresses and a cable connection. Would it be difficult to run my site off my own computer?

It is my understanding that Win 2000 is designed for this?

Is it simply a matter of redirecting my primary and secondary IP addresses?

Tx,

Rookie

you can already host your own web site, but you need to connect to by type ip address>, if you want a domain name, there is a few things to think about.
You can register your own domain name with internic, but for this you need to have two DNS Servers.
The other option is to get your ISP to reigster the domain and for them to be authortive for your domain. Then they set up all the domain and the DNS servers and make Host & PTR records to point your win2k machine.
