setting up mssql first time

is there a site or ?? where I can get good suggestions re setting up ms sql server (msde) for the first time. I have seen items on sapwd, instance etc but don't know what basic settings are recommended, how to add users etc.

Check the books online. It comes with SQL and MSDE. It will have all the code examples on how to add users, create databases, etc.
