Hello Everyone,
Can anyone give me advice on setting up an Sonic Wall TZ190 on a Managed internet connection from Virgin Media? In the past I've always delt with ADSL and SDSL lines where the IP address have been dynamically assigned by the provider. Virgin have given me the following ip address : -
Network address 86.17.*.*
1st router address 86.17.*.*
First host address 86.17.*.*
Last host address 86.17.*.*
Broadcast address 86.17.*.*
Subnet mask 255.255.255.240
How do I go about configuring the firewall to allow internet access from our internal class c network of 35 users?
Is it a case of pointing internal clients to the internal interface on the firewall which will have a class c address.
Shall I assign the external interface on the firewall to be the First host address which has the router as its default gateway and the subnet mask above. What about the DNS will that point at Virgin's Router Also? I know this is alot to ask but I would be greatful of any advice.
Mark
