How hard is it to setup LDAP? How powerful is Linux's LDAP server? Can it sync NT, 2000, Novell, AS400, Mainframe, ect? Mike Wills

LDAP is not hard to set up, nor is it something that in and of itself will synch anything.

LDAP is a communications protocol, LDAP Directory and LDAP Metadirectories can do some of what you want to do, and a third product called PSynch will finalize the password syncronization...

If you are new to LDAP, check out the Solaris Blueprints LDAP book, its a good start :)
