Are you talking about the 7914 attendant console (a.k.a sidecar)?

hello

yes i am i forgot to put the 7914 bit on the post

thanks.

glenn, did you get this set up? I can post a config if you need it. Sorry for the delay, been out of the office.

hello mate no i did not get this work if you could let me know the config that would be great.

thanks

Okay, you need to be sure you're set up to handle the attendant console - set up your router to tftp the config file for the 7914, available from Cisco's site (depends on what version of CME you have). For me it is:

tftp-server flash:S00103020002.bin

Then you need:

telephone-service
load 7914 S00103020002

After than make sure the ephone entry knows there is a 7914 attached:

ephone 7
username "b****" password 2604
mac-address 000D.BC50.XZZZ
type 7960 addon 1 7914
button 1:83 2:84 3:85 4:86 5:87 6:7 7m12 8m14
button 9m15 10m16 11m17 12m21 13m25 14m24 15m22 16m20
button 17m26 18m23 19m29

The "addon" keyword tells it you have a single 7914 console. The button lines tell what to do with the buttons, in my case they are all Monitor buttons for various ephone-dn's we use. Could also be speeddials or whatever.

Reset the phone and the console should come to life a few seconds after the phone does.

If it doesn't work chances are you have a tftp issue - turn on debug for tftp and see what you can see.

Good luck, and let me know if you need more help.
