Setting up IP Phone Remotly

Have a BCM50 on a network with a static IP (using a forwarding service like DYNIP)
1) Can I setup the IP remote phone with a domain Name and not an IP
2) Do I have to register the ip Phone first localy one the BCM
3) Can I program the IP Phone to connect to the VPN on the network the BCM is on how do I have to forward any ports. To log onto the vpn I have to type in a username and password is that option in the setup of the ip phone

just establish the vpn with a router. then put the ip phone behind the router with server(S1) as the bcm ip address, then the gateway is the router.

I have being reading a couple posts on the topic and need to clarify something Does the VPN router go at the location of the BCM or the remote ip set or does it mater
