I am new to the BCM, I need help with setting up the soft phone. On the software I understand all of the IP info, how about the port #'s? Is 7000 the one i need to use?

On the BCM how do i setup the DN's corretly?

To set the DNS rather than have them assigned you need to log on to the BCM and switch of auto assign DNS in the IP terminals in the BCM.

If you use the documentation link on the management page of the BCM you will find all the information you need. Thats where I went and found all the steps in setting up the i2050. If you want I can post exactly how to get to the information you need. But its all there under the documentation for the BCM.

Cool Thanks for you help. I got it to connect and was able to make it use the DN I wanted to. I get dial tone but when i hit my '9' to get an outside ext. I get Denied in admin. What could this be?

Go into BCM manager under services, active DN's and check it's COS matches other working phones.

You need to give the IP phone access to the line group probably Group A.

You will find it under System DNS-----Line assignment-----line access add pool ?

The line access pool fixed it. But i had to go a different direction to get it working. I needed to add Pool PRI-A to the access pool but it kept telling me that it was a invalid pool. So i copied another DN to the DN that i was testing with. Now i can make and receive calls. I know that was not the correct way to do it but it got me there. So what did i break by doing it this way.

You should have been able to add pool pri-a. I find that very strange but if the copy worked you should be ok.
