Hey everyone,

I currently have in place a rather long and tedious process for creating FTP accounts for clients to upload work to.

It's pretty much a spread sheet with a random password generator. First, I run the password generator, add the passwords to the spreadsheet, create an FTP account, manually set the password to the same on the list, give that list to the sales guys, they then send the link with the password to the client and then the client can log in.

This wouldn't be too large of an issue to do it this way, but when we have to create 50-100 folders at a time, it really eats away a day or so.

Any suggestions on how to expediate the process? Is there any software out there that will manage this (looked but couldn't find any).

Also, according to the guy who currently does this, the passwords seem to expire after a random amount of time.

Lastly, we want to be able to set a purge date where it just blows away that folder and the data inside.

I'll have more infomation when I sit with the guy and have him reshow me what his troubles are.

Thanks
