Can i connect to my isp with my linux box/firewall modem? and then have it route to my at home network?

Just need a nic in the firewall and then a cable for peer to peer (crossover) or a cable to a sitch/hub ("straight" through). Connection to the internet can then be shared using the setup for the firewall. You will need to forward your ips and masq set up on the firewall. The firewall will be the gate for the internal network out and use the DNS of the isp to serve up addresses. This configuration should work fine.

How do i do this?

To do this the easy way, you can use Mandrake single network firewall for a firewall only gateway or you can use Mandrake (Linux)9.2 if you want a usable server or desktop pc/ gateway. Both are very easy to set up. Everthing is point and click. Both work well I have and used them both.
You cant also use Clark connect. Which also uses the Linux Kernel. Clark connect is a gateway/printer server.
