Setting up FAX for every user on a BCM 3.6 1

Hi there,

how can i set up FAX feature for every extension on my system. The customer would like to use one number for telephone and fax. Anybody able to give me an advise how to set it up? Is there only a chance to go over Auto Attendant for all extensions?

Do you want it for faxing to mailbox. If so, If you look at each mailbox you will see a setting at the bottom express messaging line.set the target line number in the express setting and set the target line prime DN as the voicemail extension number.Then set the parameter if busy (to prime)

Thx for ur response marshall.... just to make sure we are talking about the same.... and to make sure i did understand it correctly

example:

I have the DN 200 with an T7316E. The Target Line of that phone is 241. I will create a mailbox with number 200 and will set up in that mailbox an express messaging line (Target Line 241)??? Or do i have to take another number so that the extension is DN 200 and i create another faxnumber like 300 and put that to another target line like 242... so that the user has an extension 200 for his phone and another extension 300 for fax? ... the user would like to have one and the same number for fax and telephone? possible?

You will need two target lines per person.One for the DDI and one for the fax number.

thx very much marshall.... so its not possible to use one number for fax and extension without going over auto attendant?!? .... I guess i will follow then and use different target lines ( numbers ) for the seperate fax...

You could use the target line to mailbox as described above and tell the caller to press 0 to go to the extension.You would need to set the personal attendant to be the extension of the mailbox.
