Setting up Exchange Server with a purchased domain

I have an exchange server set up but I do not know how to hook it up to a purchased domain. Can anyone help me with some tips on how to do so?

I would recommend picking up a good exchange book. i picked up several from barnes and noble on exchange 2003 and they helped me out a lot figuring out how to setup and manage exchange 2003.
