Setting Up DSM16 in BCM50 1

I have an expansion unit that I've installed a DSM16+ on a BCM50. I've installed the expansion port keycode. The DNs show they're there in the element manager so the BCM50 sees the dsm16. However, when I attach a phone to those ports it only lights up for a few seconds and then never comes back up. I've tried several phones and several different ports. Any ideas as to what could be going on here?

Make sure the expansion switches are all on. And you changed it in resources to a DSM16.

The first expansion port 3 is used if you only have 1 exp port licence.
If you have 2 licence ports then you can use any off the exp 3-4 ports.
1 - oam port
2 - customer LAN
3 - bus 5 1st exp port
4 - bus 7 2nd exp port

So connect your exp to no3
Go to resources and set the same bus to 16 port mbm
Enable it

The LEDs on the front of the 16 port card should both be steady green.
