I am trying to set up CiscoWorks2000, a Network Management program on a Win2K Pro box. This will not be connected to the internet. Do I need to set up DNS on this box? IF so, how. I cannot ping my default gateway and Im using a straight class "c" subnet mask. Thanks for your help....

Well, if you can't ping your default gateway, you may have some problems that DNS will not be able to solve. Win2k Pro does not include a DNS server. All server versions of Win2k do. Marc Creviere
