We have a BCM50 r5 connected via a PRI.

We need to setup 2 new DID numbers which the user would like to setup/change call forward on demand.

Can some provide suggestions on how to best implement this?

If I add the two new DID's to his phone, doesn't call forwarding apply to all numbers on his phone? So I am guessing this is not a good option.

What would be good alternatives considering the user would like to change the call forwarded to number on demand?

Thanks.

In the target line programming there is something called redirect. There you can forward the line out to a number just use the route code before the number. This is the only way without a phone but to change it you need the Element manager to do it, can't be done thru a phone.

You could make a mailbox in the call pilot and have it automatically answer that target line. I forget the call pilot term that relates to the mailbox answering the target line. Then you can tell callers to press 7 to transfer out to external number. The user can easily change the external number via phone

Easiest way is to assign the lines to ring and appear on a set. Turn on "redirect allowed" for that set. Program Feature 84 onto a vutton. Now, when he wants to redirect the line someplace, just press the redirect button, press the line that he wants to redirect, enter the destination, preceeded by the route access code, press OK and he's done. No other lines on his phone will be redirected. He can even have the destination preprogrammed onto an auyodial button.
