PC1 IP - 192.168.0.1
PC2 IP - Automatic

KASDA ROUTER - 192.168.1.1

Router is connected to PC1. It has ADSL internet connection which is shared to PC2. When I change PC1 IP to 192.168.1.x PC2 losses its internet connection. If I have it on xxx.xxx.0.1 i cannot access router. Should I change router IP to xxx.xxx.0.xxx? I want to have all PC-s on static IP and all to have shared internet connection through router gateway. Does router have to be set to routing mode?

KASDA makes a lot of routers, I have no idea which manual to read.
If PC1 must stay in 192.168.0.1 then the router needs to be in 192.168.0.x somewhere, perhaps 192.168.0.254

Then set a DHCP range of 192.168.0.201 to 192.168.0.250, this will give you 200 static IPs to assign manually.

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

If PC1 - (first LAN port) on router and PC2 - (second LAN port) on router)

I don't understand, PC2 is connected to PC1 or router?
Do you share connetion on WIN xp, using connecion sharing?
Can you explain?

You can try change router LAN IP: on 192.168.0.254

I got it. My Kasda, lost manual, KASDA Adsl router? which we were given by Telecom for free when signed for ADSL are not good, they are routers but when I put it to routing mode after a while it stops working. Even a guy from Telecom said that. I think I will just get better router.

thanks
