Setting up Developer & 8i Enterprise

The most of problems are raised due to the different versions of Oracle libraries used by those products. Try to install them into different homes and tune them separately. You may install SOME releases of Developer with SOME releases of Server into the same ORACLE_HOME but you have to read installation guide THOROUGHLY. As far as I know Forms 6i is "compatible" with Oracle 8.0.6 and none of Developers[2000] is "compatible" with 8i.
