Hello,

I've read and reread and tried damn near everything on this site I have come across to get this to work.
I have a G3si that's legal to drink but can't seem to set up to forward calls to cell offsite.

- first I tried change station, on a free button put call-f, enter cell phone number there, but when it gives space for an extension, not a complete dial out sequence. (number is 12 digits with ARS and long distance as we live rural and all things are long distance)

- I tried two cover paths with path 1 (65) set with DND/SAC/Goto set to no (next path number put in as 66) and path 2 (66) set with all entries to no and cover set to yes. I've tried these configs with point 1 being r4 (cell number in remote call coverage) and point two being h99, and I've tried this config changing back and forth between 65 and 66 with yes and no switched
CP 65 cover no point 1 r4 kicks to nothing then to cell and rings cell, but won't do any other cover/ cp 66 is set to all no and yes for cover with point 1 r4 and point two h99
cp 65 cover no and no point set kicks straight to desktop but does not go to voicemail / cp 66 same as above
cp 65 cover no and point to h99 rolls and goes straight to voxmail/ cp66 set to r4 in this case

no matter the config, I guess the underlying issue for me is that I am unable to figure out how to activate this setup (which some variation should work)on the actual phone!?
I have tried send_calls but only allows 8 digits, call-fwd is same thing. on one thread I read someone talking about cover path code that they were using, but I can't seem to find that or anything like that in my system.

Any help is appreciated, as our daystaff is on a shelter in place status at this time and they all want their calls to be forwarded if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Scott

The call-forward button on a phone isn't meant to do outside numbers. You can put an autodial button on the phone that uses the call forward feature code plus the external number. Let's say the call forward feature code is #12. The autodial would be something like #12912021234567

Thanks, I tried to set that up as well, but unsure because how do you get that to work. I need incoming calls to get forwarded to cell phones when not in office, and even putting the code in with the number (which I've tried) how do you get it to be in place when you are not in or leave the office?? If you push the button you set it up in, it doesn't work just goes to off hook (bee boop). Unless I'm not getting it, as I don't have a large background in these things.

Try running a trace on the station and see what error comes up when trying to turn on the forwarding. Try manually entering the code and phone number too, you may have to add a pause in the dial string.

Getting it turned on outside of the office can be done using remote access but I wouldn't give that info out.

1st make sure on their cos that it allows call forwarding and call forwarding off net, next check system parameters coverage and on page 2 make sure coverage of calls of net is allowed, and also make sure trunk to trunk transfer is also allowed and as stated the trace will tell what's happening here.
