Hi there.

After setting up queries such as joins, updates, unions etc. Is there any way

where I can set up a form with command buttons that will perform these queries/actions
at the click of a button?

Do you input the SQL as a stored procedure? Using Access 2003. Any specific step by step
help would be most appreciated. Thnx!

Write a macro to run your queries. Then use something like the freeware Handy Access Launcher (HAL) to run your macros at scheduled times without you having to do anything. It will also run compacts and repairs, the idea begin that you can set up a HAL schedule with all your db admin tasks in, then set the schedule file to be loaded when you boot your PC. HAL will then do all your db maintenance with no further effort on your part.

HAL is freeware from
Hope this helps.

I should probably add that the last action in your macro should be to 'Quit' so that Access shuts down again after the automated run of your queries.

Have a look at the DoCmd.OpenQuery method.

Hope This Helps, PH.
