Setting up audible hold notification

Our system is a Meridian 11c, rls 25.

At the minute we dont have any music on hold facility, so when callers are placed on hold all they here is silence.

Is there anyway I can setup some sort of audible notification for callers so they know they are on hold? I am aware that similar systems have a simple intermittent beep.

Any help with this matter would be gratefully appreciated guys.

No built in Hold sounds on the M1/CS- the Norstar has that beep.

Create a trunk and route for "MUS" and you can inject audio into the trunk TN using a 600ohm matching transformer.
