Setting up an Avaya J179 with Wifi Module in WFH environment connecting to Avaya Cloud CM 8.1

Has anyone successfully configured an Avaya J179 with Wifi Module enabled at home connecting to Avaya Cloud Communications Manager. No luck asking Avaya Day 2 Support in learning how to configure. They just send me a 96XX VPN manual. Thanks, Paul

If it's a new phone sent to their house, use the DES
Device Enrollment Server

You or your partner get you an account on it.

J's configuring for the first time look for des.avaya.com.

You build a 10 digit code that maps to

https://yourProvisioningServer.com/46xxsettings.txt

You can also upload lists of MACs to claim, so if you know you sent MAC 00:00:00:12:34:56 to Suzie's house, you claim that MAC on the DES to point to your config server

Last line is
GET $MACADDR.txt

And then in 000000123456.txt you can have parameters to say "WPAPSK" and SSID = SuziesHouse and key = the password on the sticker on the bottom of her cable modem
